I appreciate your concern, but I think we need to operate with facts and not
on fear, and convey our information on the same basis.  Thank you for your
response Jack.  Kennebunk has stated again and again they have no intentions
of closing our school.if we believe the Saco district on the same question,
we should offer the same respect to Kennebunk.

Greetings Everyone,

Just a reminder the School Committee will be meeting tomorrow night at 7 pm.
Tonight I was searching around and found this document at the SAD 71
website.  I found a lot of this stuff was provided by the Arundel's RPC
members through their updates.  I would like to point out #24 

24. Community Impact 
If schools are eventually closed after consolidation due to state and/or
community taxpayer pressure, what are the potential community impacts? How
can they best be ameliorated? Assuming the RSU recommends closure, what are
the estimated incremental costs to Arundel of keeping M L Day open in
2009/10 and beyond? UNABLE TO ANSWER AT THIS TIME. 

I'm not trying to stir the pot but if you wish to have a local school in
town you may want to more closely examine the consolidation with SAD 71.  In
fairness I have provided the entire document for your review so you may read
this reference within the context of the whole conversation.
