[Schoolconsolidation] Updated Information from School Board on Consolidation

To the School Board,

I would like to know why I have not been sent any information on school consolidation since 7/31/2007?  There has been a number of meetings and I know that I am on the mailing list.  Also, many parents in Arundel have no idea when the meetings are taking place with the consolidation.  Is the school board making sure that these dates are being provided to the Arundel Community since this will greatly affect their children?  I know that Shelly Richards a PTA member asked the Superintendent for these dates in order to put it with their news letter but has had no response from him.  I think as a school board it is your responsibility to make sure that every possible attempt is made to contact the public of Arundel  concerning these meetings.  You are were voted in by the town of Arundel to act on their behalf these dates and importance of these dates need to be made public, not every person can make all the meetings.  Every person that has a child in that school system has a right to that information.  It should not be made difficult to get and forthcoming to the Arunedel Residents in order for this process to be done fairly. These dates can be esily posted on the school website, the school newsletter as well as outside the school on the board and inside the schooll.   Every effort needs to be made to do this.

I would appreciate any information that was discussed at these meetings as an Arundel Resident and tax payer and since 3 of my children are in the school system.  I would appreciate this being taken seriously and a response from you.
